Privacy and Security
We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy and data. Personal information such as name, address, phone number, and email are collected during your order. We do not sell or share your information. The information collected is fulfil your order and communicate details about upcoming events.
Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our ticketing platform uses industry-standard encryption to protect your data in transit. This is commonly referred to as transport layer security (TLS) V1.2 or above, or secure socket layer (SSL) technology.
Third Party Purchases
Tickets purchased through a third party, or a ticket reseller, cannot be reprinted, exchanged, or donated. We urge our audience to only purchase tickets through The Colonial’s website, in person at our Box Office, or over the phone (603) 352-2033. We are not responsible for the validity of tickets purchased outside of our sales channels.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final. Colonial Members at the Sustainer level and above may be able to exchange their tickets for another Colonial presentation.* If you cannot attend, please contact the Box Office, you cna arrange to donate your tickets back to us, or have them reissued to a friend. The Box Office can be reached Tuesday through Friday, 12 PM to 5 PM at (603) 352-2033.
*Exchanges are not available for non-Colonial presentations, including community rentals/events.
How to Receive Your Ticket(s)
At the time of your order you may select how you would like to receive your ticket(s):
- Will-Call: Held at the Box Office, your ticket(s) will be waiting for you to pick up on your way into the show. To claim your tickets, please remember to bring a form of ID or the credit card used to purchase them.
- Mail: Ticket(s) can be mailed to the shipping address on your account up to 10 days before the show.
- E-Ticket: Receive your ticket(s) via email, you can then either print your tickets at home or show them on your smart phone/mobile device.
Service Fees
The Colonial Performing Arts Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Service fees help defer costs not covered by ticket prices that benefit and streamline your experience, such as Box Office staff, our website, and phone system.
Main Stage and SHOWROOM performances:
Online and Phone: $5.50/ticket (for tickets priced $20 and above)
$3.00/ticket (for tickets priced $19 and under)
Walk-up: Service fees waived
Historic Preservation and Maintenance Fees:
The Historic and Preservation and Maintenance Fees allocate a portion of the cost of each ticket sold to the historic preservation and upkeep of our two venues.
These fees are built into the ticket price you see: $3.00 for Colonial performances, and $1.50 for performances in SHOWROOM.
Theatre Layouts and Seating
The Colonial Theatre seats approximately 900 people. The house is comprised of an Orchestra (street level), Mezzanine, and Balcony. SHOWROOM can accomodate up to 225 people in a variety of seating/standing configurations.
Your ticket will tell you the level and location of your seat, including row and seat number, or if the show is General Admission (open seating).
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager and as coordinated with artists.
There is no elevator access available in either venue to reach the Mezzanine or Balcony.
Concessions
The Colonial Performing Arts Center sells water, soft drinks, and candy at all of our events.
Outside food and drink are not allowed. If found, you will be asked to dispose of it.
Alcohol and Smoking
At most performances, the Colonial Performing Arts Center sells wine and beer at our two venues. You must be 21 years or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Anyone underage found to be in possession of alcohol will be immediately escorted out of the building. Anyone bringing in outside alcohol will be immediately escorted from the building.
Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited in all areas of both venues.
Children/Youth
EVERYONE attending an event at The Colonial Theatre or SHOWROOM – including youth (17 years and under), children (12 years old and under) and babes-in-arms – must have a ticket to enter.
Photography and Recording
Photography and/or video/audio recording, including from a smart phone, is not permitted at any performance.
The Colonial may engage with local media and photographers to obtain professional images of our events. Professional recording is coordinated with artists and tours in advance and does not permit audience members to take their own photos/recordings.
Accessibility
The Colonial Theatre welcomes anyone who wants to share in the theatre’s experience. Wheel Chair accessible and companion locations are located in the Orchestra, unfortunately our Mezzanine and Balcony levels are not accessible. Patrons may purchase seating in our accessible section online (look for the wheelchair icon), in person at the Box Office, or over the phone.
Anyone with mobility concerns may use this section, even those not using a wheelchair. However, please contact us if you do not need a seat removed to accomodate a wheelchair.
Please note, walkers, scooters, and crutches cannot remain in the seat with you. An usher will collect your device and return it to you during intermission and/or the end of the show.
Hearing assistance devices are available. Please visit the Box Office on your way into the performance to receive one.
Please note that some events have noise levels and mature content that may not be appropriate for all audiences.

Inclement Weather
It is rare for us to cancel or postpone an event due to weather. Artists tour in all weather conditions and will make every effort to fulfill their engagement. In the event of extreem weather, we will notify ticket buyers of any postponement or cancelation as soon as possible. Only in that case will refunds or exchanges be permitted.
