Every year The Colonial Theatre in Keene holds a fall fundraiser, the proceeds from which benefit The Theatre’s Education and Outreach programs. For 2016 the fall fundraiser’s theme is “Starry Night- A Celebration of Stage & Screen.” The gala event is on Saturday, November 12th from 6:30 pm until 10 pm on stage. The price of this event is $45 per ticket. There will be music courtesy of Shutter & Boogie, delicious nibbles from Kristin’s Bistro & Bakery, and an open bar. Shutter & Boogie will be playing soundtracks from classic movies and plays throughout the years. Costumes are encouraged, but optional for this event!
The fundraiser also gives attendees an opportunity to bid on amazing one-of-a-kind live and silent auction items, which are donated from local businesses and individuals throughout the tri-state area. Among these items are a private gourmet wine dinner for six, a Vermont getaway – including an overnight stay with breakfast and all day cross-country ski passes, and four tickets to a Red Sox game in summer of 2017. Other items include beautiful hand-painted or handcrafted pieces by local artisans, services – including ski passes to Mt. Snow and Granite Gorge, and 6-months of on-screen advertising before Colonial films for your business or pleasure. These are just a few of the many items that will be part of the silent or live auction that night. The majority of auction items will be displayed in the Colonial Corner window, above Turn It Up! ten days leading up to the event.
In between the live and silent auctions, will be the opportunity to “Send-A-Kid.” This segment gives attendees the opportunity to send a kid, or multiple kids, to a Colonial Theatre student matinee performance. This is a great chance for local students to experience the arts first hand.
We’d love to see you here at The Colonial Theatre on Saturday, November 12th.
