As 2024 comes to a close, we want to thank you for supporting the Colonial Performing Arts Center. We deeply value the importance of the performing arts and their profound impact on the individuals, communities, and economies of the Monadnock region and beyond. The Colonial’s 2024 contributions to the community looked like this:

  • Thousands of K-12 students throughout the Monadnock Region joined us for our Student Matinees, artist workshops, open rehearsals, and talk-back conversations. Our Student Matinees invite children into a working theatre for a professional theatrical experience, while the content also supports teachers and aligns with the curriculum.
  • The Colonial partnered with other local nonprofits and businesses to reach more than 10,000 people through community events, bringing in world-class artists and performers.
  • More than 34,000 tickets were dispersed to various engaging live events and films.
  • Our programming generated roughly $4 million in spending in our local economy.

We were thrilled to celebrate The Colonial Theatre’s 100th Anniversary on January 29, 2024! We could not have reached this milestone without the sustained and generous support from the community. The array of first-rate cultural experiences that grace our stages and the economic contributions of our programming have enriched and unified the greater Monadnock community for generations. As we venture into the next 100 years, we need your help to continue as the premier arts venue in our region.

Unrestricted annual support for our operations is vital. It provides revenue to help cover increased operating costs for programming, youth education, and day-to-day facility expenses. To that end, we hope you will consider an unrestricted year-end gift to the annual appeal.
