A Documentary on Local Waters, Local Land, and Imagining a New Future
“The Power of Water” follows the story of Bob King, a New Hampshire entrepreneur based in Keene, whose life’s work has been rehabilitating old abandoned dams to produce clean energy. Along the way, the film explores the history of hydropower in New England, the ongoing transition away from dirty fossil energy, the importance of land conservation, and how we all can be part of the solution as we face these challenges together.
This world premiere is both a “sneak peek” of the 27-minute film (which will debut on NHPBS later this April) and a community conversation: the film will be followed by a panel discussion, including Bob King; the filmmakers from SALT Project; Catherine Koning, professor of environmental science at Franklin Pierce University; and Jon Leibowitz, executive director of Northeast Wilderness Trust.
A co-presentation with the Historical Society of Cheshire County.
Reserve your (free) ticket today for this special screening and discussion. Come enjoy the film – and join the conversation!
