Presented by MC2 Charter School & The Keene Young Professionals Network
Keene’s First, Foremost, Best, and Likely Only PowerPoint Improv Comedy Competition Fundraiser
This is a 21+ event for a number of reasons
- Presentations start at 7pm
- Social hour at 6pm
- Apps will be provided and there will be a cash bar
What happens when you combine unpredictable topics, unforeseen slides, and a cash bar? A slide presentation people actually may enjoy! Eight pre-chosen presenters each spin a wheel to get a topic to present on, shortly before they go on stage. They are given a style in which they should present on it, and a clicker to change slides. Behind them is a PowerPoint presentation they have never seen, with slides completely unrelated to their topic. Hilarity ensues. Embrace the chaos, laugh at their discomfort, and cheer on your favorites! Regardless of how terrible the presenters are, you will laugh until your face hurts.
8 local “celebrities” will take to the stage to improvise a wedding toast, a stump speech, a college lecture or infomercial, on a topic they have never seen before. The winner is chosen by the crowd – you cast votes in the form of white poker chips (or red poker chip anti-votes that cancel out white chips) in each competitor’s bucket during or after their presentation, and at the end of the night the person with the highest tally wins a crappy trophy! All the money raised by these votes will also be worth money to the non-profit of each competitor’s choosing. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the students of Making Community Connections (MC2) Charter School, in Keene, NH.
