We are proud to welcome Leo Kottke and Keller Williams to The Colonial Theatre on Saturday, January 14 2017.
Leo Kottke: Kottke is known for a fingerpicking style that draws on blues, jazz, and folk music, and for syncopated, polyphonic melodies. He overcame a series of personal obstacles, including partial loss of hearing and a nearly career-ending bout with tendon damage in his right hand to emerge as a widely recognized master of his instrument.
Keller Williams: Since he first appeared on the scene in the early ‘90s, Williams has defined the term independent artist. And his recordings tell only half the story. Keller built his reputation initially on his engaging live performances, no two of which are ever alike. For most of his career, he had performed solo. His stage shows are rooted around Keller singing his compositions and choice cover songs, while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.
What to expect: This very special evening of music will feature a solo set by each artist and some spontaneous collaborations between Williams and Kottke.
