The Colonial Theater will be filled with community members, local school children, the chief of police and the fire chief, international guests and leaders of the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Center for this year’s Kristallnacht Commemoration. This event is free to the public and lasts only one hour. Featured in this years “We Create” section we honor Elise Garibaldi and her Grandparents. Elise learned her grandparents’ story of falling in love while surviving the Holocaust. With her new book Roses in a Forbidden Garden: A Holocaust Love Story, that story is now being shared with the world. This year, on the Colonial Stage, we will premiere one of the songs from Elise’s Rock Opera of with the same title as her book. In Kristallnacht Commemoration we come together to remember, to create, then to move forward as a community. We witness the past and commit to caring for each other now and in the future. Please join us.
